My Why.

Financial education is one of those subject matters that many of us have learned through financial woes and financial trauma. This is my story — and why I've committed my life to changing that.

For me, it was my divorce that made me realize you can't build your spouse up financially yet not look out for yourself.

It was also a DC government assignment. As a VDS and public servant, I was responsible for helping men and women become self-sufficient. We had to budget, incorporate, and create pathways to financial stability.

It was as a teacher that I recognized I need to prepare my son to be financially literate.

I won a scholarship to attend a Financial Empowerment Conference in Phoenix, Arizona in November 2025. It was life changing.

Today, I have decided to focus on the Vision of Money to include First Financial Security — because protecting families financially is not just a career. It is my calling.
